It’s All About the Cat

I don’t know what you think about it or what the cats thinks. The only thing I know is that cats are so gentle (usually) and beautiful just the way they are. I know there is so much pain in the world, illnesses that needs to be cured (but we still do not know how), and people who have the money, instead of contributing to the humankind, they put their money for stupid things like GLOWING CAT in the dark, or MICE that is NOT AFRAID OF CATS. Can someone help me understand the point here??? I don’t know if the cats in the pictures below enjoyed the color and hair styling they got, but some looks quite cute. Would you do it to your kitty?

House of Cats

This strange story was reported on the news last week.
The police, after someone call them, arrived to a house in a nice neighborhood, just to find that it was full with cats. Dozens of cats. They all seem to be in a good shape, but the smell was unbearable.
The strange thing was, that the owners of the house (and the cats off course) well… they lived outside, in their cars. They had their clothes in it, and they were sleeping in it.

As far as I know, no charges filed, though it is unusual behavior, there was no cruelty against the cats.

The question is why, why people reach a point where pets overcome their live. Is it too much love? Is it the inability to make rational decisions when it comes to pets? Is it a mental thing that has nothing to do with pets? How much is too much pets to own?

Dog Cruelty

From CBSNEWS and from Thesmokinggun:
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick was indicted Tuesday by a federal grand jury on charges related to illegal dog fighting.

Vick and three others were charged with violating federal laws against competitive dog fighting, procuring and training pit bulls for fighting and conducting the enterprise across state lines.

Vick and the other defendants — Purnell A. Peace, Quanis L. Phillips and Tony Taylor — were involved in an ongoing animal fighting venture based out of Vick’s home in Smithfield, Va., from early 2001 to April 2007, according to a statement released by the office of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.

In the indictment’s most harrowing parts, federal investigators describe what happened to some Bad Newz Kennels dogs that either lost matches or did not perform well in test fights. After a March 2003 loss by a female pit bull, codefendant Purnell Peace, “after consulting with Vick,” electrocuted the animal. In April, prosecutors allege, Vick, Peace, and Quanis Phillips, “executed approximately 8 dogs that did not perform well in ‘testing’ sessions.” These animals, the indictment claims, were killed “by various methods, including hanging, drowning, and slamming at least one dog’s body to the ground.”

It is really hard to understand how cruel people can be, it just make me furies.
I am not going to talk about this sick man anymore until, hopefully, he’ll get what he deserved.

Can’t Believe

I have a feeling that you never saw something like this, even though, it doesn’t mean it does not exist. I was surfing the web, looking for news when i saw this article that was broadcast on one of the morning programs on TV. At the beginning it made me laugh, but then i start thinking about these poor pets. Take a look what I am talking about……..Why do furry pets need wigs, I have no idea.
Does he looks happy in this picture?
Is there a limit for what people can do with their pets?
Does dogs have their own association that can save them from this humiliation ?
I wonder what you, pet lovers, think about this, let me know.
